They Came From Over Yonder
The Gammaquakes happened in what you would know as late in the last Earth year. Some suggest they’re the fallout of a cosmic weapon or some sort of war. Their origin is irrelevant to today’s brief. These quakes sent ripples across the cosmos, creating tears across all known sectors, folding space in on itself. Entire civilisations displaced. With them, their fauna. We’ve yet to encounter any sapient beings, but the creatures of the galaxy are finding themselves displaced. When any invasive species is introduced to an environment, this is usually a bad thing. It’s even worse when they aren’t from the same planet and don’t know how to interact with the landscape.

As the lizard king, they sent me on an excursion from the core to the surface a few decades ago on an unrelated quest. Naturally, as a strange individual myself I find it my responsibility to investigate and try to mitigate the damage.
The scientists down below have managed to reverse engineer micro pocket dimensions with Gammaquake (RGMD) residue to hold these creatures, to cross reference in the Intercosmic Menagerie Guidewidth (IMG), and safely store them until we can find out how to send them back.

Thrumg, the All-Seeing
Thrumgs are precarious little creatures. Usually found within crevices in caves. These creatures use their many eyes to spot novice Gnebbling adventurers, which they rapidly pounce and consume. A beginner Gnebbling’s worst fear, though a party of 3 or a well experienced adventurer can make short work of a Thrumg. Their movement is fast but those that have been able to see have noticed that they can only move forward, backward, or side to side. No angular movement for these bad boys.
We have extracted this adolescent one from a cave and taught it table manners, for science. We have done this to see if they can be domesticated. Outside of eating adventurers, they will consume anything that finds itself below it’s maw, including a variety of pests!
Perhaps a Thrumg could be a friend, a pet even. Time will tell. This one consumed one of our field scientists, Guck, but we don’t hold it against him, as Guck loved to cheat at cards.

Hestogynth, the Lingerer
Hestogynths appear when your back is turned. They hang around hovering over someone’s shoulder for a while before disappearing. Nobody knows where they come from and where they go. Nobody knows what they want or why they do it. They don’t seem to eat or sleep. They simply are, it would seem. Some travelers have theorised that they are an omen of extreme luck, be it good or bad. Perhaps a sign that you will come into great riches, or soon perish. They follow whoever they’ve bonded to, and disappear when they aren’t looking, which usually leads to the so called “luck incident”. An ominous creature to be sure, but a bold adventurer will often welcome a Hestogynths arrival.

Moddlemaw, the Wet
Moddlemaws are freaky little things. Researchers have pinned them as originally spawning in the deepest depths of Cemolgus 3, the ocean planet. It is supposed that wormholes opened up after the Gammaquakes. They ended up in all sorts of bodies of water across the cosmos. Somehow, this didn’t kill them, although it might as well have. They are commonly found washed up on shores everywhere.
When they aren’t found dying, a Moddlemaw can actually be quite a fearsome creature. They extend their four fins like tentacles and constrict their prey, forcing it into their mouth where their sand-like mouth filling consumes the victim and grinds them into a paste which is then swallowed. Despite this, some travelers have found that if they’re caught before they are dried out, they can make for a nutritious meal. They are often emptied of their mouth sand and roasted with some citrus fruit, which is said to enhance a person’s ability to hold their breath and withstand higher pressured environments.

Glemtolians
Glemtolians are a pest from the 72nd Bulnonk Sector. They travel on Dahonph waves and eviscerate the local Targle field, which saps the residents below of their natural flavours and also their willpower.
Some opportunistic despots have figured out when a Glemtolian storm will occur and use the opportunity to invade when the people are unwilling to fight back. This isn’t even the bulk of their environmental damage. Glemtolians transmit their harvested willpower back to their motherbrain, which then use it to consume worlds.
On occasion the despots who swoop in prior have been able to repel the motherbrain, which also then secures their status as a hero to the people they have pillaged, or enslaved. More often than not though, the motherbrain manages to consume even them. Some theorize that even without the Gammaquakes, the Glemtolians would have made their way to our quadrant anyway, as they travel far and wide, sapping the willpower of any planet they come across.

Vipwism, The Taster
Vipwisms are harmless little bundles of joy. They fly around using their multiple tongues to taste things. Fortunately, they don’t produce saliva, so all the things they taste are left intact and still edible. It is said that a Vipwism tasting something can even enhance it’s flavour.
The peculiar thing about a Vipwism is that it never actually consumes the things it tastes, and nobody knows why. Some theorise that it is taking something from a field beyond our perception. Some have theorised that the Hestogynth and Vipwism may be related somehow.

Cackling Lawrence
In the barns and rooftops of the planet Gnuhng Bonstamth, when dawn rises, so does the Cackling Lawrence. These esper like creatures signal the rise of daylight as a rooster would on earth. Hated by many, appreciated by some, the Cackling Lawrence is a regular morning alarm for Gnuhngians. It laughs and it laughs, with banshee like volume, until it runs out of air and diminishes for the evening. While it doesn’t seem like they can truly be killed, they eventually fizzle out after many years.
Back in 4309 FQ, Gnuhngians in the Grully scene used to bottle Cackling Lawrences and inhale them, then laughing them out, which provided mild psychedelic effects. They were dubbed Cackylarries, and later Claries around 4320 FQ. While this didn’t harm the Cackling Lawrence, they did protest to being bottled. Eventually these were commercialised until local animal rights bodies stepped in, but also when sitcom dad Harst Hunklage made them uncool.
Now they can wake up the neighbourhood without fear of being abducted. However, as the Gammaquakes have opened up travel to realms they’re not familiar with, Cackling Lawrences have begun to appear in zones where people are not familiar with their sound and locals have acted hostile toward them, trapping them in soundproof cages. Claustrophobic as they are, due to an ingrained memory of their previous capture, they have started to become increasingly loud at times outside of daylight.

Bisomeestra, the Filterer
Bisomeestra are another water dwelling critter, displaced by the Gammaquakes. While they can look a little scary, these little fellas are a blessing. They feed on toxins and pollutants within the water, leaving the water fresh and pristine. They growth of their populations are encouraged on their home world of Dorance Jult, as the planet is a mass producer of waste. The planet is known for the production of a plastic adjacent resource, which leaves the waters filled with a microplastic like substance. They can grow up to ten centimeters in size, and usually travel in schools of up to two hundred. Perhaps entering our atmosphere will bode well, as we surely need it. Sleek and quick, and powered by the toxins, they make their way from ocean to ocean. Of course, this diet means that they are no good for eating.
Sleesmint, the Glistener
Sleesmints are flying snails from the Lorpax sector, commonly found on the forest planet of Sluck-Winthror. Much like Earth snails, they leave a slimy trail wherever they go. This trail leaves the area smelling minty fresh, and also leaves the surface permanently glistening. While leaving the area smelling minty may sound nice at first, Sleesmints are known to absolutely ruin crops of all kinds by rendering them minty. They tend to travel solo, but multiply quickly and can leave a farmer’s entire plot minty in the span of an hour. They fly slowly, in more of a hover, but they still manage to get around.

Shambeetro, the Embedder
Shambeetro are a devious sort. They burrow into the skin of an unsuspecting traveller and lay their eggs. While they’re under there, they sap a being of their keratin, which hardens them to near unbreakable levels. The only way to remove a Shambeetro is with fire. They are supposedly originally from Hunvuk-Roj, but due to embedding, managed to make their way across the cosmos long before the gammaquakes. I hate them, you hate them, we all hate them.

Flurq-Berngler, the Sweeper
Flurq-Bernglers are regarded as both helpful and a pest. Though they keep the terrain of Narngwarr 2 smooth, they have almost left the planet gripless. The residents of the planet have of course adapted to this and have evolved to have a sort of sticky coating that keeps them attached to the nearly completely smooth planet. The Flurq-Berngler sweeps up whatever is in its path and flattens the area after. It wasn’t until the gammaquakes where this became a problem. Cute as they may be, in other areas not prepared for flattening, it has caused some serious trouble.
The one I’ve caught here seems to have just arrived, hence the area still maintaining its unflattened state. It’s safe to say the gammaquakes aren’t over, as beings all across the cosmos are seeing new creatures appear out of these rips in reality’s fabric

Terry
Terry is a jerk. I don’t know where Terry came from. None of us do. We don’t even know if Terry is one guy who can teleport or multiple guys. All we know is that he’s a jerk.
His hobbies include waiting spots to trip people over, rearranging and hiding things, frightening people, and causing electrical disturbances (He’s like a less marketable gremlin). From what we can determine, there isn’t any biological imperative causing him to do this stuff. He just does it because he likes being a jerk. If you’ll recall we’ve crafted a variety of zardware items that have a secondary function solely dedicated to shooing and bothering him. Turns out all the eradication functions don’t last that long. Anyway, I hope he doesn’t decide to mess with you, it’s really annoying.

Dreep, the Gullet
In the depths of the seas of Lordrum Taw, live the Dreep. These creatures may appear cute, but closer inspection will add an element of terror. Their gullet is both hypnotic and endless. It swirls and swirls, enveloping anything that enters, never to return. It even consumes and alters light around it, aiding in its hypnotic effect. Fortunately, they’re too small to eat most lifeforms. This of course raises the question, how can something so small have an endless gullet? It is theorised that their mouth is actually a portal to a pocket dimension. We say “theorised” because we once sent a remote control camera into one. It travelled for six days in the dark before we lost the signal. So it is fortunate then, that we aren’t small enough to fit in it’s mouth, or stupid enough to be tricked by its hypnotic display. It’s like they always say on Lordrum Taw, a Dreep ate my homework.

Deliverabull™
Fastest delivery service this side of the Lundo Nebula, the speeding bull-et, it’s Deliverbull™! This postal service opened in 4899CGE by Nargo Co. made use of the excess of Henge, a bovine like creature that had been abandoned in the Duntonian farming system for being too costly compared to manufactured food alternatives. Having a surplus, they cyberized them and sent them on their way through the galaxy as a postal system similar to our “Homing Pigeons”. The durability of a Henge ensured safe travel for letters and other mail, as well as their rather large stomachs. The cybernetic enhancements allowed for increased carry space, as well as a GPS (Galactic Positioning System) for navigation. Typically, a Deliverabull™ keeps a letter rolled up in its tongue, to unfurl once it has reached its destination. Because of the durability, it was deemed more practical for the Deliverabull™ to travel in a straight line, the fastest route. At first they were destructive, going through walls and occasionally wildlife. Nargo Co., having more money than the local governing bodies was able to avoid any repercussion for this, but instead decided it would also benefit them to create and patent the Walmost™ , a wall that maintains its shape but is keyed to a vibrational frequency that allows the Deliverabull™ to travel through it without harm.
As you may see though, in the Gammaquakes, a few have managed to find their way here. With no connection to the GPS, and no Walmosts™ to keep households safe, their presence is a hazard and they must be contained at all costs.

Vodifuma, the Ornamental Boon
Unlike most creatures we’ve discovered, Vodifuma are an overwhelmingly positive presence. These creatures come in many shapes and sizes, and are boon to households all around. Much like a spider, the Vodifuma keeps a household free of pests. Much like the beauty of the web the spider weaves, the Vodifuma adds beauty to the house with its elaborate shell. It observes the household and weaves an ornamental carapace that blends in with its surroundings, surprising its prey as it suddenly moves in for the kill. They don’t harm larger creatures and spend most of their time idle, so unlike most of the pests that have made their way here, we’d like it if the residents of Pwenje-9 let us keep these.

Zwarrmph, the Enveloper
Zwarrmphs are native to mostly aquatic Jergo Aelank. This lamprey-like creature moves incomprehensibly fast, constricting its prey and attaching itself to the victims brainstem. It uses a low level pheremones to convince the unfortunate creature to find a quiet place to die. In the space of several days, it drains the liquids until only the husk remains. We weren’t able to separate this one from its feast. We see it here snacking on a Gengauck, a beautiful coastal bird known for its beautiful feathers and their tendency to build sculptures on the planet's red sand beaches.

Krerk Kreck, the Cruncher
Krerk Kreck (named for the sound it makes) is a mollusk from the desert planet of Yioldwes. It is said to have a shell sharper than a scalpel, with a crunch force powerful enough to chew through any metal. Because of this, it has been difficult to ascertain what portion of the beast is alive. Its gem and interior field create what appears to be unending depth. Legend has it that managing to fetch the gem from inside and embedding it in one's eye will grant phenomenal psionic power. Many have tried and been rendered limbless as a result.

Wokchaptle, the Friend
Man’s best friend (for the inhabitants of Nuffle Reem), Wokchaptle is a household pet. This beetle-like creature acts much like any earth dog, except for the fact it can fly and doesn’t have a face. Instead of seeing with eyes, its millions of tiny nodes in its facial cavern detect airflow and density around it, acting as its senses. It is a pleasant creature but as per any pet, missing its owner can lead to distress. It has a soft yet firm putty like body that crunches and squelches like playdough when it steps.

Disgustus
Honestly, we couldn’t find much on the IMG about this thing. He made us too uncomfortable with his pulsating veins and general aura, so we stuck him in the RGMD as soon as we could so it would stop. We presume that’s the case for wherever it came from. We’re leaning towards Sqame, the dark planet, because otherwise we’re sure they would have wiped out this eyesore of a creature. It’s not like it was doing anything malicious. It just caused mass discomfort for anyone in its radius.

Agormu, the Hive
Agormu, from the jungle planet of Chkchkplujh, is the queen bee. We of course mean that in the literal sense. Agormu is the queen of its species, known as Mumo. What makes Agormu the most interesting is that it is also the hive. That’s right, the colony of Mumo live within their queen. They toil away, only leaving via her mouth to fetch resources. While our bees produce honey, they produce a substance known as Yut, which has been used as a bio-fuel. The buzzing is loud, so it is apparent when one is in the area. Usually, taking its place atop a Huol tree. Though the Agormu is capable of hovering via vibration, it is often seen climbing using its hands also. Though typically docile, they are easily startled, deploying hive for assault.

Ermwot, the Slipper
Threading the needle, we have an Ermwot. Native to the aquatic caves found in the jungles of Thun’m’kun 2. Thun’m’kun 2, of course, being known for how its treacherous terrain is known to alternate and weave seamlessly. Because of this there are many pockets of biomes within biomes. Ermwots are brightly coloured, to attract their prey while acting as bait. They attract a larger creature to pursue them, not realising that they themselves will be the main course for the evening. An Ermwot is capable of slipping through spaces as diminutive as a keyhole, encouraging the larger pursuer to find itself stuck within the enclosed terrain with no retreat. At this point the Ermwot eats the immobile beast, nibble by nibble, until it clears itself a path out. Of course, the creature is generally still alive through this. On occasion, the Ermwot will chomp itself out a small exit through the flesh, and leave its victim to die from either starvation or slow blood loss.
Exploration:

Rumble under Rubble and Tumble over Tumble

Rumble under Rubble and Tumble over Tumble
We sent an explorer through an isolated Gammaquake crack we had managed to reopen, attached to a tether. These are screenshots of footage of them inside. the signal was weak and we only got 10 seconds of footage. They were only in there for 2 minutes and 43 seconds but they described the journey as having felt like it lasted over a year (once we snapped them out of their confusion). It is unknown as to what effect this has had on the creatures that have come from over yonder, but exploration is the first step to sending them back.

Anemone Enemy
We also have a two second glimpse of their lens camera. they repeated the phrase “anenome enemy” over and over. at first it just sounded like gibberish. we still don’t know if this is what he was trying to say. by the time he snapped out of it, he had forgotten even saying it or what he was trying to say in the first place. we didn’t know what it meant and are still trying to figure that out. but this is what he saw. it writhed with endless colour and collapsed in upon itself multiple times. getting a clear screeshot was challenging
